Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of MarQuest at marquest.in (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Eligibility & accounts

MarQuest is free to use and open to anyone aged 16 or older. You sign in using a Google account and are responsible for the activity that occurs under your account. Provide accurate information during onboarding and keep it up to date. You may not impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• break the law or infringe the rights of others while using the Service;
• cheat, manipulate quiz scores, leaderboards or points, or use automated means to access the Service;
• upload or submit content that is unlawful, misleading, abusive, or infringing;
• attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure.

We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these Terms.

User content

You retain ownership of content you submit (such as placement-interview reports or uploaded materials). By submitting content you grant MarQuest a non-exclusive licence to host, display and use it to operate and improve the Service. Crowd-sourced submissions may be reviewed by administrators before publication, and published submissions may be shown anonymously.

Quizzes, content & AI

Quiz questions, newsletters and certain editorial content are generated with the help of AI and curated where possible. While we aim for accuracy, the Service is provided for learning and preparation purposes and may contain errors. Job, news and placement information is aggregated or crowd-sourced and is not a guarantee of any outcome.

Third-party links

The Service links to third-party sites (for example, job listings and news sources). We are not responsible for the content or practices of those sites.

Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, MarQuest and its organisers are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

Changes & termination

We may modify or discontinue the Service, and may update these Terms, at any time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above. You may stop using the Service at any time; we may suspend access for violations of these Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
